Join Ari Herzog for an interactive presentation on the benefits and uses of social media. See case studies, hear best practices, and learn how and why you should use it for 10 minutes a day to spread buzz about your business.

What's the event format?

The entire event is 150 minutes, and is focused on providing you and other attendees with opportunities to learn from each other and to meet each other. To spark conversation and discussion, there is a special guest panel!

  • 5:45 PM Arrival and networking
  • 6:00 PM Presentation by Ari Herzog
  • 7:00 PM Break and more networking
  • 7:10 PM Moderated panel discussion
  • 8:10 PM Q&A and even more networking
  • 8:30 PM We're done! Off to sleep and think about tomorrow!

Who should attend?

While social media instruction can easily be tailored for different industries, the goal of this event is to share WHAT social media is, WHY using it is effective, and HOW you can use it efficiently. Whether you work for a business, nonprofit organization, academia, or the government, you are guaranteed to learn something new!


Who's Ari Herzog?

Ari Herzog (@ariherzog) is the principal of Ari Herzog & Associates, providing online media strategies for business and government. With 10 years of experience in information technology, community journalism, and government administration, Ari's projects encompass a mix of consulting, speaking, and writing. He uses a holistic approach to analyze, recommend, implement, brand, and monitor social media elements for every client. He's led workshops in Boston, Washington, D.C., and Chicago, and has been interviewed by MSNBC.com, Fast Company and Federal Computer Week.


Who's on the panel?

  • Marsha Finkelstein is the owner of Moving Beyond Coaching & Consulting. Based in Salem, she is a parent educator and career coach. She tweets as @movingbeyond.

  • Rick Littrell is the founder and president of Magicomm (@magicomm), a marketing communications firm in Amesbury.

  • Valerie Sodano is the local marketing manager - east coast for Panera Bread Corporation and lives in Andover.

  • Jason Verhoosky (@jasonverhoosky) is the creative director and lead designer for Old Beauty Design in Ipswich. He's also the youth program coordinator for DanversCARES.

  • Bruce Vogel is the regional manager - northeast for iContact, an email service provider. He is based in Newburyport.
